Introducing the "Vajacial"

STRIPT Wax Bar, 1764 Union Street, San Francisco, CA

Here's the scenario:
DESPERATELY needed a fix for my poor vajay. It had been waxed by some random nail salon on polk street and suddenly it was filled with in-growns. It was growing these twisted weeds and was in all sorts of trouble.

The answer:
I saw the sign that said "Introducing the Vajacial". Funny but clever at the same time. It is EXACTLY what I needed. I needed a full extraction, scrub and toner. For around $60, Katherine took her time to work gently and made sure to keep everything very sanitary.

The space is wonderfully decorated and Katherine is a very clever and skilled business woman. I recommend stript to anyone who has had a brazilian nightmare. Go here, your hubby will be happy.

My New Favorite Red

My roommate Sonia introduced me to this color. She said it is the first red lipstick she has found to look excellent on Indian skin. I must say, she's right!

It's called "Cruella" by NARS. I applied the velvet matte pencil and added my own touch of shimmer with "Orgasm" lip gloss by NARS. The result, vixen lips!

Indian Sweets (Mithai)

My family and I were talking about getting together for lunch. One of my cousins offered to make Chai, so naturally I offered to bring Marie Biscuits. My brother offered this in an email to us:

Nice. Ill bring the random box of sweets, probably in some form of almonds or dates, which noone likes and everyone refuses to touch. The kind that are usually given as gifts by someone who resides across international waters. All because someone somewhere (most likely in or from dubai or india) is apparently known for making these particular sweets in a somewhat exceptional fashion, according to some random persons standards who also decided that it was necessary for me to try it. Perhaps it will be treated better in your fridge until it is relocated to your local landfill.

Jillian Michael's Work Out + Song of the Day

I'm a big fan of Jillian Michael's book, Making The Cut. I can't exactly follow the diet because it does not cater very well to vegetarians but what I love about it is that it has a 30 day circuit training. Each day is completely outlined with details on how to perform each exercise and reps.

I'm only on day six and I have to tell you my butt is ACHING! I love it. Someone even said my arms look toned :) So I'll let you know how it goes.

Better Than Foreplay Eggless Chocolate Nutella Filled Cupcakes

I've been on a hunt for a unique cupcake recipe. Who doesn't love Nutella and chocolate? So, what better recipe than Chocolate Nutella Filled Cupcakes? I'm a vegetarian but I eat dairy, so it was important for me to leave the eggs out.

By putting together two recipes from blogs, I've come up with my own. Here's the recipe:

Ingredients:

1/4 C. Canola Oil
1 1/4 C. Sugar
2 Eggs (Made from Bob's Red Mill or Ener-G brand egg replacer)
3/4 C. Flour
1/2 t. Baking Powder
1/4 t. Baking Soda
1/4 t. Salt
1/2 C. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (I used Ghirardelli, yum!)
1/2 C. Whole Milk OR Soy Milk
1 t. Vanilla

------------------
For Filling:
1/2 C. of Nutella (Or as much as you want)
1/4 C. Confectioners Sugar

Yield: 12-14 cupcakes

Method: Preheat oven to 375 degrees, then turn it down to 350 just prior to baking

1. In one bowl, combine the dry ingredients and whisk them to incorporate them.
2. In another bowl, combine all the wet ingredients
3. Combine bowls, add the wet ingredients to the dry slowly while whisking
4. Fill cupcake tins 2/3's of the way and bake for about 20-22 minutes. Allow to cool for about an hour.
5. This is where your grade school skills come in. You'll have to remember how to fit the circle peg back in the circle hole. When the cupcakes are cool, cut out a round piece in the top of the cupcake. Dig out a tiny bit of cake from the hole, and then fill with 1/2 tsp. of Nutella. Put the top back on and press gently down so it is level with the rest of the cupcake.
6. Finish with a sprinkling of Confectioners sugar.

Let me know if you have any questions!
